It's novel for an American to see the sun set over the Atlantic Ocean and I can't stop taking photos of the beautiful sunsets here.
The beach in Sea Point, Cape Town is unswimmable because of the rocks and seriously scary kelp. But there is a beautiful promenade along the coast for several miles that is well used by lots of people. They also have these awesome-looking sea water pools that I have yet to swim in because I'm so busy with the school.
I imagine a day in about two weeks when I'll be free to do things like swim. Right now, my sunset viewing is fast and is the only break I get every two days, in between lesson planning.
But here are a few of the sunsets and more I've seen at the beach there.
