This Osprey Hiking Backpack served me very well on the Inka Trail in June 2018. I had the pack fitted to me at REI and it felt great. It had a reasonable amount of room and lots of zippers and straps to hold all the gear I carried. (Porters carry your sleeping bag and a sleeping mat for you on the trail.)
The zippered pockets on the waist strap were invaluable. I stowed tissues, lip balm, sunscreen and bug repellant in them. The pack includes a rain cover, which was essential on my wet and muddy hike. There is a pouch for a Camelbak and also room for water bottles on the sides. It was easy to carry my hiking poles too.
